Fear of Flying "I hope that you are well. Thanks for everything. It has made such a big difference. The flight was bumpy and the captain said there'd be turbulence but I was fine. I wouldn't say totally fearless but I coped really well and wasn't scared. I just went to sleep for most of the flight. I definitely think that next time I fly, I will be fine. Confidence "I just wanted to say thanks for your hypnotherapy sessions and let you know just how much they have helped me. At the time I came to see you I was so focused (or maybe obsessed) on one part of my life, that it caused the obvious damage to my inner self and ultimately affected my everyday functioning.
After our first session I felt like I had surfaced for air to catch the first breath of many to come. I remember walking down Byres Road feeling like something (fear) had lifted from inside. Not quite wearing new shoes but definitely new socks. People around me, and me included, started to see a difference in my confidence, speaking out more in class and generally in a lighter mood. I found I was able to handle situations better and accept when I was just having a bad day.
After our second session I really started to feel like I was leaving your room with new shoes.
Then by the 3rd session, it now needs to be said that the place I think of when I need to be somewhere other than reality is in that room; a place where I felt completely relaxed and accepted for who I am, followed by a light walk to Hillhead tube station. Obviously there are more beautiful settings but that feeling of inspiration and being able to breath easily is one that I really thank you for."
Speech Making "Hello Caroline, I was in a month or two ago for a couple of sessions in preparation for the dreaded Best Man's Speech. I just wanted to say thanks for your help and advice over those two sessions.
By the time it came to doing the speech I was actually looking forward to getting up and doing it, a far cry from feeling like I may pass out even just thinking about it! In fact, it went so well that a number of people made a point of telling me that it was the best wedding speech they had ever heard, quoted their favourite lines back at me and even asked if public speaking was something I do as a profession.
