About Hypnotherapy Glasgow
Hypnotherapy Glasgow is run by Joe Keogh, a native of Glasgow with over 20 years' diverse experience in mental health.
Joe Keogh is from Glasgow and graduated from Glasgow School of Art with a first class honours in Fine Art and a Masters Degree in Design. He has always had an interest in yoga and meditation. Later, his interest expanded into NLP (neurolinguistic programming) and self-hypnosis.
Over the years he attended many courses, workshops and seminars on wellbeing and improving mental health. He found that self-hypnosis was a powerful influencer in his life on many levels. This prompted him to study clinical hypnotherapy with internationally acclaimed London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy. Training in Glasgow with the Harvest Clinic at Caledonia University.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is hypnosis safe?
How much does it cost?
Be assured that hypnosis is perfectly safe. Hypnosis is quite similar to daydreaming or being totally absorbed in a good book or movie. You’ll be in control throughout the process and be aware of everything that is happening around you. You can come out of trance anytime you wish.
If you choose to book an appointment with Hypnotherapy Glasgow, you will pay a £20 security deposit by PayPal to secure your session. 24 hours' notice is required for cancellations.
What’s the difference between hypnosis and hypnotherapy?
How many sessions will it take?
Hypnosis is a state of mind, where focus is narrowed and the body is deeply relaxed. You can go into a pleasant trance state where change can happen. Hypnosis by itself is not therapy.
Hypnotherapy is hypnosis that is used for therapeutic purposes where the unconscious mind can be utilised to find solutions to problems or barriers to progress where the hypnotherapist can make suggestions that encourage your unconscious mind to achieve goals or to solve problems.
The first session is usually the longest. This typically lasts one and a half hours and subsequent sessions around one hour. It depends on the individual. However three sessions is the average for most conditions / problems, but you should notice a difference after the first session.
